Children's Place

Children's Place is a temporary home for children and adolescents ages 12-17 who have been neglected and abused. The home provides 24 hour residential services. A therapeutic relationship is established with each child. Counselors are assigned to assist children and adolescents in coping with issues of separation and loss, abuse, self esteem, anger, abandonment etc... 

Counselors emphasize the importance of family, respect and community. Counselors also assist children with developing appropriate daily living skills and compliance with education requirements. 

Services include: 
Individual counseling to address specific needs
Group and peer counseling to address social development    
Transitional counseling to address reunification
Healthy recreational and physical activities
Therapeutic outings
24-hour monitoring and care
Linkage to resources and referrals
School advocacy and assistance

Length of service:
Length of service is determined by individual needs.
