Important information about the Celebrity Charity Challenge Events:

Pre-registration and Participation in one of the events held Monday-Thursday is required in order to participate in the Celebrity Softball Game & Picnic on Saturday, Aug. 14.  Food will be limited to Hamburgers, Hot Dog, Chips and a Drink.

Donations for the Celebrity Community Charity Challenge Event can be made at any Wachovia Bank Location.  Just ask for Family Redirection Cares and Shares Acct.

The Family Redirection Institute, Inc. is licensed through the Department of Mental Health Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services. We are a private for profit entity in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The agency provides clinically based mental health treatment that offer realistic alternatives to inappropriate behaviors caused by psychological and environmental factors. We utilize an empowerment approach to our ecological method of treatment. Our goal is to assist consumers with maximizing their internal resources to achieve positive outcomes. 

Our staff of trained professionals includes a licensed Psychologist and several licensed clinicians, Master leveled therapist and Bachelor leveled counselors and paraprofessionals working in concert with consumers and their families to find positives solutions in the most difficult situations as a modality to encourage appropriate behavior. The agency’s clinically based mental health services include out patient, substance, intensive in the home, community and residential counseling.  Our support programs includes: Therapeutic Mentoring, Mentoring Behavioral Aide Personal Care Assistant, Anger Management, Independent Living Skills, School Based Aide and Day treatment service. Each of these services will includes individual, group and family counseling. In addition we offer parenting and Psycho educational groups for the consumer.

Family Redirection Institute Inc. was established in July 1998 to offer services that are client centered yet family focused. We are pleased that our agency has served over ten thousand consumers and their families through our service and community out reached programs. The agency enjoys healthy working relationship with several agencies within the Hampton Roads area. Specifically, with the Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Western Tidewater (Suffolk, Franklin and Isle of Wight) Court Services Units, Department  of Social Services, Public School system, Family Assessment Planning Teams and Community Services Boards. Family Redirection Institute inc. provides human services for at risk and adjudicated youth and their families.
